The 2022 Growing Season
The vintage began with a cool, average winter and dry spring, resulting in delayed budbreak. A 75-day drought tested the vines, reducing yields but concentrating grape quality. Summer rainstorms revitalized vine growth just in time for ripening. September brought ideal conditions, with cool nights enhancing sugar, aroma, and tannin development. The harvest was carried out under perfect conditions, starting with Merlot on August 25 and concluding with Cabernet Sauvignon on October 10, allowing precise picking for each variety and vineyard.
Vinification & Ageing
Grapes were hand-harvested into 15 kg baskets, double-sorted by hand and optical selection, and soft-pressed. Fermentation occurred in both stainless steel and concrete vats at 22–28°C over two weeks, followed by 10–15 days of maceration. After malolactic fermentation in steel, the wine aged for 15 months in French oak barriques (25% new, 75% second use), followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging before release. The result is a structured yet silky wine with great aging potential.

Tasting Notes
This 2022 vintage features a blend of 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc, with an alcohol content of 14.5%. In the glass, it reveals a deep red-purple hue. The nose is rich with aromas of ripe black fruits, warm spices, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, it begins juicy and generous, followed by well-structured tannins and a plush, persistent finish. While highly enjoyable now, it promises optimal maturity within the next ten years.
