Discover the elegance of Southern Italy with San Marzano Tramari Primitivo Rosé 2024, a premium Italian rosé wine from Salento, Puglia, crafted exclusively from the native Primitivo grape. This dry rosé wine showcases a delicate pale pink hue and bursts with aromas of wild roses, red cherries, and subtle Mediterranean herbs.
Perfectly balanced, this Primitivo rosé from Puglia is lightly off-dry and refreshing on the palate, making it an ideal choice for warm summer evenings, seafood dishes, or casual aperitifs.
Vineyard Origins – Primitivo Grapes from Salento
Grown at 100 metres above sea level in the heart of Salento, the San Marzano vineyard benefits from high temperatures and low rainfall, producing concentrated fruit with vibrant flavours. The vines are densely planted (4,500 per hectare) in rocky, clay-rich soils that offer excellent drainage – a key component in the quality of this rosé wine from Southern Italy.
Winemaking Process
Crafted using modern techniques that highlight freshness and fruit character, the Primitivo grapes undergo short skin-contact maceration before a gentle must extraction. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the wine’s aromatic profile. Ageing also continues in stainless steel, maintaining crispness and purity.
