Vineyards
The Quartet winery is nestled in Mendocino County’s cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley. Grapes are 100% Estate grown over 235 hectares. There are four distinct vineyards on the estate, hence the name Quartet, from which all the grapes are sourced.
Winemaking
The Roederer Estate Rosé is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. To produce the wine’s elegant salmon colour, Arnaud Weyrich, Quartet’s Head Winemaker, allows 5% of the Pinot Noir to undergo an extended maceration before secondary fermentation. As with all Roederer Estate wines, the Brut Rosé is produced from 100% estate-grown grapes. Only the cuvée (the first pressing of 120 gallons/ton) is use in the production of Quartet.
Following the lead of Champagne Louis Roederer’s Brut Premier, 10% – 20% of the Quartet Rosé is made up of premium quality oak-aged reserve wines, creating a multi-vintage cuvée in the traditional Roederer style.
The wine is then fermented at 18 C in high-grade stainless-steel tanks.
No malolactic fermentation is used in order to produce a wine of freshness, elegance and precision.
Vintage Information
The Quartet Rosé is a multi-vintage blend of no less than 5 vintages with oak aged reserve wines to add complexity and elegance.
Tasting Note
The Roederer Estate Brut Rosé has fine, persistant bubbles. The Chardonnay contributes elegance, a floral character, and a pleasantly austere freshness, which are the perfect counterpoint to the delicate fruitiness of the Pinot Noir, which brings notes of fresh red berries.
Food Pairing
Perfect as an aperitif but equally enjoyable with lightly grilled meat.
“This wine exudes class. It displays a wonderful pale pink colour with apricot and copper hue as well as tiny persistent bubbles. Aromas are delicate and refined including a combination of fresh berry fruits, toast, wild flowers and yeasty notes. On the palate it has wonderful creamy texture (two years on the lees have certainly contributed to the textural softness), attractive savoury complexity and a wonderful refreshing finish.” July 2020

Roederer Estate Quartet – Premium Sparkling Wine from California
Experience one of California’s finest sparkling wines with Roederer Estate Quartet, rooted in over 200 years of winemaking tradition from Champagne Louis Roederer. Produced in the cool-climate Anderson Valley AVA of Mendocino County, this estate-grown bubbly brings French heritage and Californian terroir together in every bottle.
Located in Anderson Valley’s cool, coastal climate, Roederer Estate farms over 620 acres of estate-owned vineyards using sustainable and organic methods. This unique level of vineyard control allows for exceptional quality and consistency. The valley's foggy mornings and cool nights ensure slow grape ripening, ideal for sparkling wine.
Roederer Estate is Fish Friendly Certified and prioritizes land stewardship. With 100 organically farmed acres, compost made from pomace and local manure, reclaimed water for irrigation, and biodynamic vineyard practices, this sparkling wine is crafted with care for both flavour and the environment.
Roederer Estate uses a variety of trellising systems and high-density planting to optimize sunlight exposure and grape quality. All grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed on-site to preserve freshness and reduce environmental impact.
The blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir is made exclusively from the cuvée (first pressing), fermented at 18°C in stainless steel, with no malolactic fermentation. Each bottle ages a minimum of two years on the lees, with reserve wines aged in large French oak casks to add complexity and depth.
Led by Winemaker & VP Arnaud Weyrich, whose roots lie in Champagne, the blending team brings over 140 vintages of combined experience. Every bottle reflects generations of expertise with a modern, sustainable approach.
The name pays tribute to the four estate vineyards that form the backbone of this acclaimed sparkling wine. Each site contributes to the signature balance, finesse, and richness that define Roederer Estate Quartet.
