Indulge in the ultimate expression of luxury winemaking with the Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, an iconic Santa Cruz Mountains estate-grown wine celebrated for its precision, depth, and extraordinary ageing potential. Crafted from sustainably farmed vines atop the legendary Monte Bello ridge, this rare Bordeaux-style Cabernet blend captures the true character of its mountain terroir, intense fruit purity, limestone mineral tones, and powerful structure.
2014 Vintage: A Collector’s Masterpiece
The 2014 Monte Bello vintage emerged from a famously challenging growing season marked by scarce winter rainfall and low soil nutrients. Yet these conditions yielded beautifully concentrated grapes that ripened perfectly through September. Slow, meticulous fermentations with native yeasts allowed optimal extraction and purity, while natural malolactic conversion brought refined balance and elegance.
Merlot stands out triumphantly in this vintage, adding suppleness and depth, while Petit Verdot introduces subtle spice and complexity. The result: a Cabernet Sauvignon of exceptional focus, vibrant acidity, and layered dark-fruit expression, built to age gracefully for 15 to 30+ years.
