Discover the exceptional elegance of the Pulenta Estate Gran Cabernet Franc XI 2020, a premium red wine crafted exclusively from hand-selected grapes grown at the Finca La Zulema vineyard in Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina. Planted in 1992 at an altitude of 980 meters, these Cabernet Franc vines benefit from rocky, well-drained soils and a high-elevation climate, ideal for developing bold aromas and refined structure.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, this Argentinian Cabernet Franc reveals a deep ruby hue and a captivating bouquet of roasted red pepper, eucalyptus, and tobacco, layered with notes of black plum and ripe blueberries.
On the palate, it opens with silky, sweet richness and smooth, ripe tannins. As it evolves, luscious blue fruit flavours and subtle spice notes carry through to a long, elegant finish. Perfect for pairing with grilled meats, aged cheeses, or enjoyed on its own as a sophisticated sipping wine.
Pulenta Estate was founded in 2002 by brothers Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta, third-generation winemakers carrying on their family's century-old winemaking tradition. Nestled in the prestigious Alto Agrelo region of Mendoza, Argentina, the estate benefits from high-altitude vineyards (980 meters above sea level) and pure meltwater from the Andes, creating ideal conditions for producing world-class wines.
The Pulenta family story began in 1902 when Angelo Antonio Polenta emigrated from Italy to Mendoza. By 1914, he had purchased land and built his first winery, laying the foundation for a family-owned wine business that flourished for generations. Although the original company was sold in 1997, Eduardo and Hugo revived their family legacy with the creation of Pulenta Estate just a few years later.
Today, Pulenta Estate spans 135 hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards. Their wine portfolio showcases the essence of Mendoza's terroir, combining traditional Italian heritage with modern winemaking expertise and sustainable viticulture.
