Vineyard & Terroir
Grown in clay-rich soils with a distinct microclimate, this Zapallar Sauvignon Blanc experiences slow ripening thanks to cool temperatures and ocean breezes, resulting in grapes with vibrant acidity and complex flavours. Handpicked in mid-April, later than most other Chilean regions, this ensures optimal freshness and character.
Vintage Highlights
The 2023 vintage was marked by intense winter rainfall and cool spring weather, delaying flowering and harvest by up to 15 days. This slow maturation process allowed for lower sugar accumulation and higher natural acidity, contributing to the wine’s crisp, refreshing profile.
Winemaking Process
Grapes are carefully handpicked in the early morning and transported in refrigerated containers to preserve freshness. After a cold soak to extract delicate aromatics, fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts at cool temperatures (10º–12ºC) over 30 days. The wine then matures on its lees for 6–8 months, enhancing texture and complexity before bottling.
