Crafted from 100% Garganega grapes, Monte del Frà Soave Classico 2023 is a vibrant and mineral-rich Italian white wine grown in the historic hillside vineyards of Soave Classico, near Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone.
These Soave Classico vineyards sit on volcanic, clay-limestone soils at around 150 metres above sea level, with south and southeast exposures that ensure optimal sunlight and cooling breezes. Monte del Frà practices sustainable viticulture (SQNPI certified), using minimal herbicides and targeted irrigation, with natural pest control through pheromone traps, producing clean, environmentally-conscious wines.
In the cellar, every step preserves the grape’s natural freshness. Gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation, and lees ageing give the wine a refined texture and aromatic depth.
Tasting Notes:
• Appearance: Bright pale straw yellow with greenish hints, clear and youthful.
• Aroma: Elegant notes of elderflower, white blossom, citrus peel, and stony minerality, with subtle white peach and stone fruit undertones.
• Palate: Crisp, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Flavours of ripe pear, white peach, and a touch of almond lead to a clean, dry finish with a distinct saline edge.
Why You'll Love It:

• 100% Garganega from Soave Classico DOC
• Sustainably farmed & low intervention winemaking
• Perfect with seafood, salads, or as a refined aperitif
Discover Monte del Frà – A Family-Owned Sustainable Winery in Lake Garda, Italy. Monte del Frà, meaning “land of the monks,” traces its roots back to the late 15th century when a group of friars established a monastery on this fertile land in northern Italy. By the 16th century, 25 hectares had been leased for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees, a legacy you can still see documented today in Vienna’s historic library.
Today, Monte del Frà is a renowned family-owned Italian winery near Lake Garda, passionately run by the Bonomo family for over 60 years. Now in its third generation, Marica, Silvia, and Massimo Bonomo are dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect both tradition and terroir.
Nestled between the Venetian Pre-Alps and the shores of Lake Garda, Monte del Frà benefits from a unique microclimate. The nearby mountains shield the vineyards from harsh northern winds, while the lake moderates extreme seasonal temperatures, ideal conditions for growing premium grapes.
What truly sets Monte del Frà apart is its commitment to sustainable vineyard practices in Northern Italy. The estate spans rolling morainic hills formed by ancient glaciers, creating the perfect environment for cultivating indigenous grape varieties that define the character of each handcrafted wine.
Whether you are looking for artisan Italian wines from a sustainable winery or want to explore the taste of Lake Garda's family-run vineyards, Monte del Frà offers a legacy in every bottle.
