Discover the elegance of Monte del Frà Custoza 2023, a premium Italian white wine from the Veneto region.
Vineyards
Crafted from select vineyards located in the rolling morainic hills near Lake Garda. Grown on well-drained soils rich in limestone, clay, and gravel, this refreshing dry white wine reflects the terroir of Custoza and Sommacampagna with refined minerality and vibrant character.
Vinification
To preserve the natural freshness and aromatic profile, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Post-fermentation, it rests on fine lees (“sur lie”) to enhance texture, mouthfeel, and complexity before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
• Appearance: Brilliant straw yellow with pale green highlights.
• Nose: Fragrant notes of white flowers, green apple, apricot, white peach, and citrus zest, with a delicate herbal undertone and hints of tropical fruit.
• Palate: Medium-bodied and dry with a well-balanced acidity, featuring flavours of ripe stone fruits, green apple, and citrus. A light mineral salinity adds freshness, while the smooth texture leads to a clean, persistent finish.
• Finish: Bright and moderately long with lingering notes of peach, citrus, and mineral nuances.
Perfect for lovers of light, crisp Italian white wines and ideal for pairing with seafood, grilled vegetables, poultry, or fresh pasta dishes.
Discover Monte del Frà – A Family-Owned Sustainable Winery in Lake Garda, Italy. Monte del Frà, meaning “land of the monks,” traces its roots back to the late 15th century when a group of friars established a monastery on this fertile land in northern Italy. By the 16th century, 25 hectares had been leased for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees, a legacy you can still see documented today in Vienna’s historic library.
Today, Monte del Frà is a renowned family-owned Italian winery near Lake Garda, passionately run by the Bonomo family for over 60 years. Now in its third generation, Marica, Silvia, and Massimo Bonomo are dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect both tradition and terroir.
Nestled between the Venetian Pre-Alps and the shores of Lake Garda, Monte del Frà benefits from a unique microclimate. The nearby mountains shield the vineyards from harsh northern winds, while the lake moderates extreme seasonal temperatures, ideal conditions for growing premium grapes.
What truly sets Monte del Frà apart is its commitment to sustainable vineyard practices in Northern Italy. The estate spans rolling morainic hills formed by ancient glaciers, creating the perfect environment for cultivating indigenous grape varieties that define the character of each handcrafted wine.
Whether you are looking for artisan Italian wines from a sustainable winery or want to explore the taste of Lake Garda's family-run vineyards, Monte del Frà offers a legacy in every bottle.
