Discover the elegance of Marchese Antinori La Braccesca Bramasole Cortona Syrah 2019, a premium Italian red wine from Tuscany crafted with precision and passion. Grown in the rolling hills of Cortona, this single-varietal Syrah reflects the Antinori family’s centuries-old winemaking heritage.
Vintage & Harvest
The 2019 vintage began with a cool, dry winter and a mild, rainy spring, leading to a later budding season. A warm summer helped the vines flourish, producing perfectly ripe, concentrated Syrah grapes. The harvest took place on September 18th, yielding small, healthy berries full of depth and flavour.
Vinification & Ageing
After gentle destemming and crushing, fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C (82°F). A careful 15-day maceration extracted rich aromas and soft, balanced tannins. The wine aged for 12 months in French oak barriques, both new and second-fill, developing remarkable complexity and texture before bottling in spring 2021.
Tasting Notes
Bramasole 2019 displays a deep ruby red hue and an expressive bouquet of black pepper, liquorice, and violet. Subtle notes of vanilla, coffee, and coconut complement its spicy undertones. On the palate, it delivers silky tannins, refined structure, and a long, persistent finish echoing vanilla and liquorice. A luxurious Tuscan Syrah that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, aged cheeses, or enjoyed on its own.
Discover Six Centuries of Tuscan Winemaking with the Antinori Family Wines
Experience the legacy of one of Italy’s most iconic wine producers, the Antinori family, whose winemaking heritage in Tuscany spans over 600 years and 26 generations. Since 1385, the Antinori family has crafted fine Italian wines that reflect both ancient tradition and a pioneering spirit of innovation.
Originally silk traders in 12th-century Florence, the Antinori’s transitioned to winemaking and quickly gained international acclaim. By the 16th century, Antinori wines were being exported to France, Flanders, Spain, and North Africa, establishing a global reputation for quality Italian wine exports.
A major milestone in their journey was the acquisition of the Tignanello Estate in 1900, which sparked a new era of innovation and growth. Today, Antinori is celebrated as one of the top Tuscan wine producers, with prestigious vineyards in Piedmont, Lombardy, Umbria, and Puglia.
The Antinori vineyards cover nearly 1,400 hectares of premium vineyard land in Tuscany and Umbria, producing world-renowned wines such as Tignanello, Solaia and Badia a Passignano.
As Marchese Piero Antinori states, “Ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never held back our spirit of innovation.”
Whether you're seeking premium red wines from Tuscany or iconic Italian white wines for your collection, the Antinori family continues to define excellence in Italian winemaking.
