2020 Vintage Highlights:
The growing season began with a mild winter and a brief cold snap in March, which fortunately spared the vines. A balanced spring and early summer gave way to intense heat and drought conditions, naturally concentrating the grapes. A well-timed rain in late August cooled the vineyards and allowed the Merlot grapes to reach optimal ripeness. The harvest ran from early September to October 3rd, ensuring peak freshness and flavour in every cluster.
Vinification & Ageing:
Each grape variety in this premium Tuscan red wine blend was vinified separately in small stainless-steel tanks to preserve its varietal character. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 10 months – partly in used French oak barriques from the Ornellaia estate and partly in concrete vats. This dual-aging approach enhances structure, freshness, and complexity.

Winemaker Olga Fusari describes the 2020 vintage as "ruby red with purple reflections," offering an aromatic bouquet rich in ripe red fruit, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle notes of tobacco and spice.
