Handcrafted using biodynamic practices, this certified organic Riesling is sourced from the iconic eight-hectare Polish Hill vineyard, planted in 1996 at 460m elevation – one of the coolest and most mineral-rich sites in the region.
The low-yielding Riesling vines, grown in hard rock soils of silt, shale, and gravel, produce small, thick-skinned berries, resulting in intensely flavoured fruit. The vineyard’s unique microclimate and low-fertility soil contribute to the wine’s unmistakable precision and structure.
Vintage 2024 was exceptional, an early season followed by well-timed rains set the stage for a dry, disease-free ripening period. These optimal conditions, paired with careful biodynamic vineyard management, delivered fruit of outstanding quality.
In the winery, the organically grown grapes were hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented in small stainless-steel batches by clone and vine age. A cool, controlled fermentation preserved the vineyard’s character and expressive aromatics.
