Discover the elegance of Barolo Cannubi 2020 from Giacomo Fenocchio, a limited-production red wine crafted from 100% Nebbiolo Michet grapes grown in the historic Cannubi cru of Barolo, Piedmont.
Sourced from just 0.5 hectares of 30-year-old vines planted on sandy, marl-rich Tortonian soil, this aged Italian red wine offers unmatched purity and expression. Hand-harvested in early October, the grapes undergo a traditional, natural fermentation with a long 40-day maceration, followed by aging in stainless steel and large Slavonian oak casks for over 30 months.
This refined and collectible Barolo exudes complex aromas of dried cherry, warm strawberry, incense, bay leaf, wild thyme, and autumn leaves. On the palate, it delivers layers of ripe wild berries, leather, and sweet-savoury spices wrapped in elegant, polished tannins. A wine of balance, structure, and grace, meant to enjoy now or cellar until 2040.

Discover the Elegance of Tradition – Giacomo Fenocchio
When Claudio Fenocchio took over the historic Fenocchio winery from his father Giacomo in 1989, the debate between modernist and traditionalist winemaking styles in Barolo wine production was at its peak. Rather than choosing sides, he embraced a unique path often described as radical traditionalism in Barolo winemaking. Today, Claudio Fenocchio’s Barolo wines from Piedmont, Italy are celebrated for their ability to be elegant and approachable Barolos in their youth, while also possessing remarkable ageing potential.
As the fifth-generation winemaker in the Fenocchio family, Claudio remains committed to crafting authentic Barolo wines that express the terroir of Monforte d’Alba and surrounding vineyards. He honours his family’s deep-rooted legacy while continuously striving to elevate quality through careful innovation. His dedication has made Fenocchio Barolo wines a benchmark for those seeking classic, age-worthy Italian red wines from the Langhe region.
