Owned by Elisabetta Geppetti since 1996, this estate near Scansano in southern Tuscany represents the heart of Maremma’s terroir.
This 14-hectare, south-west facing vineyard sits at 280 metres above sea level and is known for its sandy soils layered over sandstone, contributing to the wine’s remarkable balance and smooth tannins.
Aged for 18 months in new French oak tonneaux (500L and 600L), this vintage showcases the expressive character of Maremma Sangiovese.
Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby red in the glass, the nose opens with seductive aromas of red roses, wild blackberry, black cherry, and blood orange. Complex layers of juniper, dried florals, Tuscan cigar, and earthy undergrowth follow. On the palate, it is full-bodied with dense yet silky tannins and a persistent finish featuring black currant and spice.
