Why Buy Poggio Valente 2022?
Poggio Valente is one of Fattoria Le Pupille’s signature vineyard wines, centred on Sangiovese and designed to express the character of Maremma. The estate acquired the Poggio Valente vineyard in 1996, and the wine has become an important expression of its terroir.
The 2022 vintage brings a bright, energetic style to the wine. International critics have highlighted its clarity of fruit, Mediterranean personality, refined structure, and lively freshness. The wine is matured in large 500- and 600-litre tonneaux for around 18 months, with approximately half of the wood being new, helping to give the wine texture and complexity without overwhelming the Sangiovese fruit.
For customers searching for Fattoria Le Pupille Poggio Valente 2022 UK, this is a sophisticated Tuscan red that can be enjoyed now with decanting while also offering considerable development potential.
Poggio Valente 2022 Vintage Overview
The 2022 vintage has a distinctive personality. Rather than relying solely on power and concentration, Poggio Valente 2022 combines juicy fruit with freshness and savoury complexity.
