Discover Devaux Cuvée D Non-Vintage Brut Champagne, a sophisticated blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, crafted from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Côte des Bars and Côte des Blancs regions of Champagne, France. Part of the exclusive “D Collection,” this exceptional cuvée represents the pinnacle of Devaux's winemaking expertise.
Sourced from over 50 hectares of premium vineyard sites, the Pinot Noir grapes thrive in the Kimmeridgian limestone-clay soils of Aube, delivering richness, structure, and a long, elegant finish. The Chardonnay is grown on the chalky terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, Vitry, and Montgueux, renowned for imparting finesse, minerality, and vibrant acidity.
Winemaking Highlights:
• 90% stainless steel fermentation; 10% in French oak barrels
• Partial malolactic fermentation for added complexity.
• 40% reserve wine (50% in magnums), including perpetual soleras dating back to 1995.
• Aged over 60 months on lees for exceptional depth and a fine, persistent mousse.
• Light brut dosage (7g/L) for a perfectly balanced finish
Tasting Notes
Expect a rich, intense Champagne with a harmonious blend of dried fruits, fresh citrus, and subtle spice. The Pinot Noir provides structure and depth, while the Chardonnay lifts the palate with its brightness and elegance. A truly refined sparkling wine for celebrations, gifting, or luxury dining.
Founded in 1846 by brothers Jules and Auguste Devaux in Épernay, Champagne Devaux is a historic champagne house with a legacy of excellence. In the 1980s, the estate moved to the Côte des Bar wine region, now celebrated as the heartland of Pinot Noir in Champagne.
Unlike traditional Champagne terroirs near Reims or Épernay, the vineyards of Côte des Bar are closer to Chablis and rest on ancient Burgundian soils rich in Kimmeridgian marl and Portlandian limestone. This unique terroir imparts elegance, depth, and minerality to every bottle of Devaux Champagne.
Since 1999, Michel Parisot, Devaux’s visionary Chef de Cave, has led the estate with an innovative approach to sparkling winemaking. His commitment to excellence was recognised when he was named ‘Sparkling Winemaker of the Year’ at the 2020 International Wine Challenge, a major accolade in the world of fine wine.
Today, Champagne Devaux operates under the ownership of the Union Auboise, continuing to produce exceptional, terroir-driven champagnes that express the soul of Côte des Bar Pinot Noir.
