Discover the bold elegance of Cantina Diomede ‘Lama di Pietra’ Nero di Troia 2024, a premium Italian red wine crafted in the hills north of Bari, Puglia. Grown at elevations of 350–450 meters above sea level, the Nero di Troia grapes thrive in calcareous clay soils, meticulously cultivated using vertical shoot positioning and cordon spur pruning for optimal ripeness and complexity.
The 2024 vintage in Puglia experienced a mild winter, hot spring, and dry summer, leading to lower yields but exceptional grape quality. After harvest, the hand-selected grapes underwent extended skin maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation with selected yeasts. The wine was aged for 10 months in stainless steel to retain its vibrant fruit character.
This full-bodied red wine features a ruby-red colour with violet hues. On the nose, expect fragrant aromas of cherry, mulberry, and subtle floral notes. The palate is smooth and rounded, with soft tannins and a balanced structure that makes it a perfect pairing for grilled meats, rich pasta dishes, or hard cheeses.
Whether you are a fan of Italian red wines from Puglia or exploring the unique profile of Nero di Troia, this bottle is a sophisticated addition to your wine collection.
