Greywacke Wild Sauvignon Blanc (2016) - Marlborough New Zealand - in bond price
Fermented entirely with naturally occurring yeast, this is an alternative style of Sauvignon Blanc that is both intricate and textural. A delicate combination of musky peach-skin aromatics and gentle citrus-blossom notes – a dash of lime cordial and a hint of saffron. The palate is lusciously herbal, long and refreshing with flavours of white nectarine flesh, dill and hints of fennel. The finish is succulent and crisp with almost a flinty dryness. Tim Atkin MW scored this wine 94pts..."an outstanding wine".

94pts - Neal Martin (2014 vintage). "Has a well-defined bouquet with scents of passion fruit, beeswax, orange rind and a hint of fresh mushroom. I love the definition and focus here. The poised, refreshing palate is very well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity and an assiduous dash of spice towards the finish. Simply put, this is one of the best recently released Chardonnays that I have tasted from New Zealand."
Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay (2016) - Adelaide Hills, Aus - in bond price shown
A modern classic. More Burgundian in style, with 40% of the fruit from the high altitude Lenswood vineyard. 33% new French oak, handled gently. Partial malolactic ferment, lending slight creaminess and textural quality. Light stone fruit with a hint of citrus. A delightful, elegant, cool-climate Chardonnay.

A lovely Alsace rendition displaying superb concentration, rich texture and balance, together with citrus, stone fruit and a touch of savoury notes. This wine always ages well and benefits from 3 or 4 years bottle age
Huia Marlborough Gewurztraminer (2016) – Marlborough, New Zealand
After gentle pressing, the wine is fermented slowly to retain the intense rose-petal aromas of the grapes, then aged on lees for several months in stainless steel tanks before bottling. This wine is fruit-driven in style, typically with intense aromas of rose-petal, Turkish Delight and lychee, with a full-bodied, oily palate. Beautiful with stir-fry dishes.

Pencarrow Sauvignon Blanc (2017) - Martinborough, New Zealand
Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc (2018) - Marlborough, NZ - in bond price shown.
Fabulous Kiwi Sauvignon from the original winemaker & vineyard manager who put Cloudy Bay on the map. Citrus and mineral flavours, rather than the pungent passion-fruit and gooseberry of many other Kiwi S Blancs. Unlike Cloudy Bay, grapes are hand-picked, then whole-bunch pressed. Yields are low and fermentation is spontaneous, using only the indigenous yeasts - giving it more body and complexity. This is accentuated by maturation over the lees with regular stirring.
The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc (2018) - Marlborough, NZ
Excellent value for money & consistent across vintages. Our Best Value SBlc at NZ Trade Tasting, year after year. Think limes and passion fruit with mineral complexity thrown in. Slightly drier than most Kiwi S Blancs, so good with food but also a good aperitif wine. You can also savour it at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.
